Verse I: Tonight, We'll go and see the stars shine (and I) Can't wait to see the light Stars shine in your eyes Walkin Down the shore tonight the tide will rise but we'll be alright ...with your hand in mine Chorus: Saturday Night Surprise We'll Share the Times of Our Lives The Stars Will Shine so Bright When the ocean Meets the Dark Skies Verse II: Tonight under the docks our lips will lock Front row in the sand down by the fire You and me, the way it should be (forever more) I pray this night never ends, fades away, or turns to grey Cause I'll make you smile And you light the shore like never before ...With your eyes - Chorus - Outro: Until our footprints wash away and we see a brand new day I hope this feelin never dies as we share the times of our lives In the Saturday Night Surprise

Breathe 04:35
Verse I: Like a Curse…In my mind Chokes my thoughts…Every time But I know…This won’t change And I feel like this every day All I know’s…how I feel Wish this pain wasn’t real But it’s here…Not to stay And I feel like this every day I can’t Breathe…I can’t speak Can’t do all that would make you believe in me Feel so trapped…No one knows How I feel when I’m all alone Chorus: All the ways I feel they get trapped inside Sometimes it feels like I’m losing my mind And I’m not the person I was before Take me back to life That once was so beautiful Don’t get me wrong I don’t want you back But I can’t believe that you’ve stabbed me in the back (How you’ve stabbed me in the back) Verse II: Feeling’s gone…So alone Insecurity tears at my soul Change my life…play your game And I don’t want to become the things I hate LIES…and Deceit And the person that let you inside of me Sift through sands that slip through the glass Find a way to resolve mistakes of the past - Chorus II- Bridge: Wish I couldn’t feel…Wish I didn’t love Wish I could’ve stopped you from getting inside But it’s not the way…And it never was Now I have to live with this monster that I’ve become Outro: Need to stop running away Change my life is all I can say New perspective, new lease on my life Here I go no more running to hide from myself

the Note 05:08
Verse I: This is my escape. It's not my time but I couldn't stay. It's no one's fault but mine. Did I really have that much to stay for? So unfulfilled too many times before, and my life is all within my hands. Chorus: Tell her I loved her. Tell them I'm Sorry. If my thoughts weren't so distorted I could've seen the Truth. My Weakness is life now I've taken mine... GOODBYE! Verse II: What have I done? The past is so young. At my weakest point...the escape of a coward. Now the questions of what will I become, and who have I let down? Chorus II: Tell her I loved her. Tell them I'm Sorry. Wish I had another chance to change mistakes With a future so bright, Now I've taken Mine GOODBYE! Outro: By the time this is read I'll be gone. Please let me say I'm sorry to everyone who thought I was stronger. If you think I should've stayed...YOU'RE SELFISH! Maybe you never understood Didn’t try to know…didn’t see the signs…I didn’t either
6.
Verse I I’d lay my life aside Come sit right down here…and cry Just let it all out what you’re holdin’ inside If you ever need me…day or night Chorus: Because you’re gone and I’m still here You leave me with all these questions (of fear) Things been done, love was said Had me thinkin…you’d be here till the bitter end (but instead) Verse II: I had to learn to cry I had to keep movin on with my life I wanna hold it all inside Can’t wait to see you…on the other side of my life -Chorus – Outro: I’d of been there by your side… ….for life…

about

This is the first release of the Absentee Project. This Studio Project was recorded by Jay Kay in order to recruit players and share his rock vision. Some of these early recordings feature early Absentee drummer Joe Rivera (Saturday Night Surprise, the Note,) and guest appearances from "friends of the Project" that were willing to lend their respective talents. Psylensol's frontman Jarrod Tucker is featured on "Souls In Pain" and "Life Laid Aside". All other instrumentation, programming, engineering, mixing was done by the creator of the Project, Jay Kay. Some of these early recordings show the diverse spectrum of what the Absentee Project hopes to continuously incorporate into their music as the band continues to evolve in the future. Enjoy.
